So I visit this company with a friend where she is to be interviewed for a job. The company direction looked dodgy initially and then we started out after a sumptuous meal at Shoprite.
We walked about 4 mins to get to the company. The external look wasn't pleasant and the environment very non-professional looking. We got in, walked up the stairs and we pressed the doorbell. The sound was not professional at all, it was some long ring that you'd hear at a student apartment (if they have any)... but seriously??? We got laughing from the door. The look of the office was okay to give some credit. The receptionist's computer wasn't a desktop but a worn-almost-dead laptop, she was practically doing nothing on it.
Then came a call and another receptionist takes the call and all she said was 'hello'. No introduction of the company and greeting?
My best friend said during the interview the first question asked was "can we meet you?" seriously? That means introduce yourself. Then an interviewer tries to tell my friend about Australia he hasn't been but were my friend studied and worked for some years. Why do people think they know so much? Worse, he had the wrong information... lol. I am so tired. My fingers are hurting from the long day.
Random: From Africa
Somehow the Prayer get answered
Currently I am in Africa on a business tour. In this part, electricity can be a scarce commodity. So last night I slept in the heat, my batteries on all my devices were out! Being a techie person, these are essential parts of my life, i couldn't do work the next day without power.
The last charge on one of my my phones and iPad got me connected to a close friend on Facebook. I was mentioning my frustration to my friend. I told my friend I was going to pray for power to return... lol
I got praying for electricity and somehow I had this strong faith it will return soon. Thank God, the weather has been fair, slept off. Two hours later I open my eyes to electricity. Isn't the Lord good? Apparently, electricity returned shortly after I went to bed. What faith can do.
But God
In church, the sermon But God.. In the bible there were so many cases where the children of israel were in trouble, we find out.. But God.. Stepped in to save his children.
Many times we've had problems and difficulties to tackle, but God came in to save his child.
But God can help you, deliver you and save you from the enemies.
What an evening
Using the google map on my phone, I entered my destination from my apartment in the docklands.. Going to another end of it not far by train but half an hour walk. It goes with the question "do you know where you are going?" I knew my destination but not how to get there on foot. I walked for about 19 minutes and it told me that I'd got to my destination.. In the middle of nowhere. I was confused and my battery dying out, no help. I tried again and this time I was specific with my destination.. It took me another 13 minutes but I did get there at last.
Lessons Learnt
You are faced with that difficulty, you pray but pray a general prayer and you keep praying that general prayer.. It's time to be specific to get what you want.
Don't give up, don't stop believing.. If I gave up on google maps I won't have got to my destination.
Do everything you have to do to get to your destination on time.
Keep your eye on Jesus for hey is the greatest SAT nav of life; way better than your google map of life, whatever that may be.
Devotion - A HARD BONE TO CHEW?
I don't know if I am alone in this but doing a devotion is just like my hair is pulling out and I quickly need to stop and do something else.
The truth be said, the devil truly has taken our precious time with our saviour from us. He hates to see us spend more time on other things. The bible truly said, love not the world neither the things of the world.. Whosoever loves the world more than God is not of God.
Titus 2:11 KJV
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men
God's grace is the word.
We are saved by Grace and it's grace that has been covering for all the love we haven't shown the Lord. Let us start today by spending 15 minutes of every free time with the Lord and half an hour minimum of everyday on devotion. Share your time spent with the Lord with every reader. We are doing a month of the study of the book of Ezra. You can follow us on emeraldogzz.wordpress.com
